Northmoor Parent Involvement Policy

Northmoor Elementary School
Title I Parent Involvement Policy
2025-2026 School Year

Northmoor Elementary School will provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards as follows:
·         Scientifically research-based curriculum will be used
·         Students will be instructed by highly qualified teachers and staff
·         Students will be tested at least twice a year in the fall and spring
·         Progress monitoring will be ongoing

Northmoor will hold parent conferences annually during which the parent compact will be discussed in relation to the individual child’s achievement.  These conferences will be held in the fall and spring or whenever necessary.

Northmoor will provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress.  This will include reasonable access to staff.  Parents will be offered descriptions and explanations of the school’s curriculum, forms of academic assessment used to measure children’s progress and the proficiency levels students are expected to meet.

Northmoor will provide opportunities for parents to volunteer at the school during parties, library activities, and Title I events, and meetings.  Parents will be involved in other ways in an organized, ongoing, and timely way, with the result being parent involvement that is meaningful. At the request of parents, opportunities will be provided for meetings with teachers to formulate suggestions for participation, as appropriate, in decisions about the education of their children.

Northmoor will have a parent-student-teacher-principal compact in place which lists responsibilities for each party involved.  This will include home and class procedures.  Information to parents will be presented in an understandable and uniform format.  Parents will be involved in the joint development of any schoolwide program plan, in an organized, ongoing, and timely way.  This will include Northmoor’s Parent Involvement Policy.
